The primary cause of vacuum switch failure is accidental over-pressure from air-assisted blow-off circuits.
Our vacuum switch protector is bi-directional and acts as a pressure relief valve that vents excess pressure to atmosphere via a dilating o-ring check valve. An internal tortuous flow path snubs pressure spikes but allows full vacuum pressure to be monitored by the switch that is being protected.
